I thank the SmartFem Summit for the inspiration for today’s blog.  I greatly appreciate I only heard  (those dreaded words) “Why Not Me” a few times.

“Why Not Me?” I am so glad you asked.

I am grateful to share why those dreaded words do not work for me.

Coach Lisa

Perhaps, this is a Lisa thing? Perhaps, this is a highly sensitive introvert thing? Or, maybe a combination of both? I’d love for you to share your thoughts in the comments.

I’ve lost track of how many times a coach, mentor, facilitator has said those dreaded words from the lectern.  They then usually share their breakthrough moment of how “Why Not Me” leapfrogged them to success.

Yet, each time I hear or read those dreaded words; I cringe. I understand the context in how they are presented. I get the intended translation is “Yes, You!” But I simply do not feel motivated or inspired when I hear or read those dreaded words.

Simply because I answer the question with “Why I Can’t.”
• I can’t because _____.
• I don’t have enough _____.
• Reason 3.
• Reason 4.
• Reason 5.

You get the picture.

“Why Not Me” essentially translates to “I’m not good enough!!”

Learning to work through the programming, “I’m not good enough,” is something Introverts and Highly Sensitive Professionals deal with on a continual basis.

I’m here to assure you, “You are Good Enough.”

Similar to my Stupid, Stupid, STUPID experience, you can read it here, I present you with “So Can I.”

So Can I.

• If this person can grow their business from A to B, So Can I!
• If this person can speak on stage, So Can I!
• If this person can bounce back from their lowest moment and create a great life, So Can I!

And, SO CAN YOU!!
