I understand showing up in general is difficult for Introverts and possibly more challenging for highly sensitive Introverts. I also know we are navigating uncharted waters and most everything feels different. Change in and of itself is challenging. When it’s thrown against us as if we crashed suddenly into a brick wall . . . “What can we do to survive??”

Friday, March 13, I had everything in place to hold West Valley Women’s March 18 SW Valley Breakfast at a new location. By Sunday night everything changed. I can’t count how many times I pivoted. Long story short, the event was online using Zoom.
Yes, fewer people attended. However, the benefits outweighed lesser attendance! Our speaker shared the leadership topic as if she was speaking live. We all gained value. The attendees had the opportunity to connect, engage and share.
“Lisa, this was wonderful. Thank you for not cancelling.” “Everything else this week cancelled. I am so glad you didn’t cancel.”
The result. West Valley Women ONLINE Conversation & Connections was born, and the first session was held the following week. Now, West Valley Women ONLINE Conversation & Connections is held twice weekly. Visit West Valley Women’s Facebook page to learn more.
ONLINE Conversation & Connections is an excellent way for me to help my community stay connected. We’ve shared resources and creative ways to try to do business. We’ve gotten to know each other on a deeper personal level. We begin by sharing one thing that is going well. That one thing can be something simple, something that puts a smile on our face.
Beginning next month, West Valley Women’s scheduled programming for the monthly luncheons and quarterly breakfasts will be held online until we can meet in person. West Valley Women ONLINE Conversation & Connections will continue to meet twice weekly until we can meet in person. Once we can meet in person, the online gatherings will be held monthly.
Facilitating online gatherings is an excellent way for me to help my community stay connected.
